2026-10	Export & import. Download a table as Excel (.xlsx), PDF, Word (.docx) or CSV — with your current search and sort, all pages, readable user names and option labels, calculated formulas, the totals row, and merged cells kept in Excel, PDF and Word. Fill a table from a CSV or Excel file: automatic column matching, add or replace rows, and a preview that highlights any value that can’t be read before you save. Works on the issue panel and the customer portal, entirely in the browser. Administrators can turn each off per field. See Export & Import.
2026-09	Search rows. Filter a table to the rows containing your text, with matches highlighted, a row count, and totals that add up only the visible rows. Press / to jump to the search box. Administrators can turn it off per field.
2026-09	Sort by column. Click a column name to sort ascending, descending, or back to the original order — type-aware (numbers, dates and times, text, checkboxes, users), empty cells last. Per-viewer and view-only; merged cells stay merged wherever their rows remain adjacent. Administrators can turn it off per field.
2026-09	Default values for new rows. Pre-fill columns in every newly added row — fixed values, ticked checkboxes, default options, and for date/time columns the current date/time or current + a period (for example today + 7 days).
2026-09	Date and time pickers. Date, time and date-time cells now open a calendar / time picker, while values keep the column’s own format.
2026-09	Colour-coded options. Give each option of a single- or multi-select column one of nine colours, shown as coloured tags in the table and dropdowns.
2026-09	Confirm before discarding changes. Cancelling edit mode with unsaved changes now asks before throwing them away.
2026-09	Who changed the table. The Connected Table History tab now shows the person who saved a change from the Apps panel or the customer portal, instead of the app.
2026-08	Merge cells + drag-to-fill. Spreadsheet-style editing: merge adjacent cells within a column into one spanning cell (works in grid and transposed layouts), and Excel-style drag-to-fill — copy a value down a column, or hold Ctrl/Shift to fill a series (numbers and trailing-number text increment). Formula columns that depend only on merged columns collapse to match. Administrators can enable or disable each per field.
2026-08	Customer portal support. The table now appears on the Jira Service Management portal request-detail view — read-only with an Edit/Save flow for customers and unlicensed users.
2026-08	Change history. A Connected Table History activity tab showing a row- and cell-level diff of every edit.
2026-08	Column aggregation. Summary totals across a column (sum, average, min, max, count, and more).
2026-08	Required columns. Mark columns as required to block save/create until they’re filled, plus an option to lock row add/remove for viewers.
2026-07	Issue-view rendering. The full interactive grid on the issue view via click-to-edit and an always-on Apps panel.
